944 Ergonomics

Seating position of the 944 interior is excellent for a GT car. When one sits, one literaly falls into the car. There is enough room for my 6 foot 4 inch tall Brother-in-Law because the seat can be lowered further and there is enough leg room to stretch ones feet.On a spirited drive, all controls are easily grasped.

911 Ergonomics

The 911 interior is small. It is smaller than the 944 and my one complaint is that the steering wheel is too far from the driver in relation to the pedal position. In a sense, The ergonomic designers in Stuttgart were probably all born with long arms, and short legs when they designed the interior.

As you can see the ignition is located on the left side. Professor F. Porsche believed that, when starting one's 911, one has other more important things to do with his right hand...especially when in a race.
